Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the wild west in a wonderful game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the croupier, not like the majority of other poker games that players play with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more advanced people taking their mulla.
One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game play, rookies can take their time and strategize without needing to make frenzied choices.
It’s also much simpler to enjoy for an extended time with just a little amount of money since, to lose, each of your hands must be under each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the house is dealt seven cards face down.
One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
