Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the house, not like most other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players don’t have to worry about any other, more skillful gamblers taking their $$$$.
Another Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, beginners are able to take their time and plan without having to make frenzied selections.
It is also easier to gamble on for an extended time with only a little amount of money seeing as, to not win, each of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and one joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the croupier receives 7 cards face down.
One 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the houses.
